About This Tour

Your tour will begin from your ship, where our guide will collect you at port of Tauranga but If you are not travelling in cruise ship we can arrange another pick up point suitable. Guide will give a commentary throughout the day of all the points of interest.?

Our Rotorua Tour commence with first stop of 10 minutes at Mount Maunganui Main Beach which is one of the most beautiful beaches of New Zealand where morning sun photos are must.

On the way to Rotorua, Marvel at the lush Bay of Plenty countryside, passing forests, lakes, orchards, beaches and more. We even stop at a kiwifruit orchard so you can see first-hand how these furry icons are grown. Our guide will explain you about the kiwi fruit and the process of growing and you can taste varieties of kiwi fruit, Manuka Honey and other products derived from Kiwi Fruit,. You will see the Kiwi Fruit on vines and get the detailed knowledge about growing process and History of Kiwi fruit.? We will drive through Pine forests and stunning landscapes. If we are lucky enough we will see white water river rafters rafting in the river flowing from one of the thirteen Lakes named Lake Rotiti.

If time permits we will stop at Red Wood Forest for a nice little walk, we will stop for lunch or cup of coffee in a nice café in Rotorua.

We will guide you to Geo thermal valley of Whakarewarewa, where you will learn about their unique way of life and enjoy an authentic cultural performance. it’s the only place where you see local Maori people living in their traditional way.

Whakarewaewa Hightlights :-

Experience life as a local at Whakarewarewa Village – a real village built amongst an active geothermal valley. An insightful 1 hour tour of the village with one of the residents is included.

See bubbling mud pools, boiling hot pools and the ever-powerful Pohutu Geyser, biggest geyser of southern Hemisphere. Stick around you’ll soon understand why Rotorua is nicknamed Sulphur City!

Enjoy an authentic 30 minute cultural show by Te Pakira – one of Rotorua’s leading performance groups. See songs, chants and poi dancing…as well as the famous war dance – the Haka.

Learn how the Maori people have adapted to this unique landscape – using nature to help in everyday life. You’ll be amazed just how useful the hot springs and the geothermal valley can be!

You will get an opportunity to enjoy the famous sights of Rotorua including the stunning lake front, city Centre, Beautiful government gardens and Polynesian spa.

On the way back we will come through different route for stunning and scenic views. If time permits we will stop for few minutes at waterfront of Tauranga CBD and then drop you back to the ship before the ship sails.
